After 15 years of sailing the seas, it was time for the Royal Caribbean cruise liner Voyager of the Seas to enter dry dock for a complete overhaul, which took place in Singapore’s dry dock.

Several thousand workers and assembly technicians worked simultaneously on the complete overhaul and refurbishment of the 311-metre colossus.

This project also included the replacement of the roller bearings mounted in the ship’s three propulsion systems.

In this operation the Schaeffler team carried out the replacement of:

• 2 Azipod type V21
• 1 Fixipod
• 8 bearings.
