Revolutionary repair solution

Schaeffler has developed an asymmetrical split spherical roller bearing that allows the rotor bearing to be replaced directly in the nacelle for the first time.

As a result, it is no longer necessary to dismantle the rotor star and the entire drive train. This means that replacement costs can be more than halved and older turbines can continue to operate economically.
